About The Author

Lola Soto was born with dyslexia which made reading in school difficult and embarrassing. She always dreamed of writing stories that inspire children who face reading difficulties to love books. One of her biggest inspirations is her father, who would take her to the library every week to pick out books.

The setting of Gretta and Pete was inspired by her grandfather, who was a hardworking farmer. Lola is now a medical professional and feels lucky to have a job which she can help others every day. She lives in Florida with her two silly French Bulldogs.
